“I think everyone should sleep over my house!!!” “Rachel, we all kinda just met.” “So? It’ll be fun! Come on!” “Where will we all sleep? I’m not sleeping by you! I’m mad at you!” I made a fake mad face, and she just rolled her eyes. “Well, someone can sleep on my couch, and then there’s a double bed in the guest room.” “I call the guest room!” “You’ll have to sleep with a boy then.” “As long as it’s not with you, I’m fine.” “I WANT THIS COUCH!!! I can sense it loves me.” “Then I guess you get the couch, Mikey.” “That means you and Frank get to share a room! Awww! That’s gross!” “Um, where is the guest room?” “I’ll show you.” I walked down the hall towards the guest room, not saying anything. This is a really long hallway. Jeez. I opened the door to a room that was bigger than two of mine. “Woah, this room is huge..” “You’ve never been in here? I thought you guys were best friends.” “We are, I’ve just never been in here.” “Oh. Was Rachel being serious when she said you like me?” “Yeah, she was. I know Mikey couldn’t have been serious when he said you like me because No one likes me. I’m too ugly.” “You’re not ugly. I started biting my lip and smiling, and I looked at him. I didn’t want to let go. When we got back to the room he didn’t let go of my hand [which I had hoped for] and, to my dismay, Rachel said something. “They hooked up.” “No we didn’t.” “Frank kissed you. I’ve told him time and time again that he should slow down.” “Mikey, nothing happened.” “Not yet anyways. Just wait till the middle of the night, Mikey. I don’t mind you sleeping in the same bed, that is, unless you do.” “I know you won’t do anything and I know I won’t so I’m okay with it.” I laid down and slid under the covers next to him, all the while thinking to myself that I can’t make myself look like an idiot in front of him. “You know, I don’t think you’re just beautiful. I think you’re drop dead gorgeous.” “No one has ever said that to me. I think you’re gorgeous too.” I love using that word. I just looked into his beautiful eyes. I never knew why couples just looked into each others’ eyes, but now I get it. Frank seemed to be getting closer, or was I just imagining it?
