this is very long.
How could Frank even think about talking to me when he did that? I heard the door open. “Brit, Frank didn’t kiss that girl. I swear. He loves you too much to even think about doing that.” “Then why didn’t he push her away?” “He did push her away. You were already running away when he did. The other day, after he walked you home, he came back here and all he could talk about was you. When he came back in after you left with Rachel earlier, he looked like he was going to kill himself.” “No he didn’t.” “Brittany, yes, he did. Ask any of us that were there. I said something stupid, like always, and he got really pissed off at me.” “Fine, let me talk to him.” “Thank you.” I watched Mikey leave the room, and I was worried about what would happen with Frank. After all, he did break my trust. The door opened, and I could tell he was really distraught. I instantly felt horrible when I saw him like that. I patted next to me on the bed, signaling for him to sit down. As soon as he sat down, I put my head against his chest, and he put his arm around me. “I’m sorry I acted that way. I wasn’t thinking.” “It’s okay. If some guy kissed you I’d probably be really mad. Let’s just forget about it.” This is only the third day I’ve even known him and stuff like this has happened. I gotta get ready for what could happen with fans or anything really. “I just got a call from someone, says there’s a party and we’re invited!” Rachel called up to us. “That means we have to go. Rachel loves parties.” “Well then, let’s go.” He smiled, and I couldn’t be mad at him anymore. “Whose party is it, Rach?” “My old friends. You’ll like them.” “That’s not what the problem is. It’s always if they’ll like me. No one ever does.” “Brit, that’s not true. If no one ever liked you then I wouldn’t be here. Neither would the person behind you.” She meant Frank, of course, and he squeezed my hand. We were off to the party, all seven of us. “Whoa, this house is huge…” “I used to live in that house right…there. But we had to move.” We got out of the car and I saw some emo boy walking towards us. “Rachel!! I haven’t seen you in forever!” “Shae! Hey!” Shae. I’ve heard a lot about him. I studied him. Black shoulder-length hair with thin green streaks, a hint of eyeliner, a 30 Seconds to Mars tee, black girl pants, Vans exactly like mine. He seemed okay, but then again, everyone does. He’s kinda cute, but not the kind of person I’d like. He seemed too self-confident. “You must be Brittany. I’ve heard a lot about you.” “I’ve heard a lot about you too.” “Shae, these are my friends, Gerard, Ray, Mikey, Bob, and Frank.” “Hey,” they all mumbled. We all walked in the direction of the house, Rachel and Shae chatting away. As soon as the door opened I smelled the alcohol. I knew I wasn’t going to drink, but I knew I couldn’t say that for all of us. Rachel got a drink right away, while I just stood to the side, hoping to be invisible. “You want something to drink?” “No, I’m good.” Frank started drinking. I hope he doesn’t drink too much. Frank went to get a drink and a girl in dark skinny jeans and an MCR shirt stood by me. “Hey, my name’s Audrey. I’m Shae’s girlfriend.” “Hey, I’m Brittany, Rachel’s friend.” I saw Audrey staring at Gerard. “Is that…no, it can’t be…” “Gerard Way?” “Yeah….” “It is. He came with us. I live right down the street from most of the guys.” “That’s so cool!” “Yeah, and I’m going out with Frank.” Like that was his cue, Frank walked back over to me. “Frank, this is Shae’s girlfriend, Audrey.” “Oh, hey.” “You guys look so cute together.” “Thanks. That’s the first time someone has said something like that, shockingly.” Fifteen minutes in, and Rachel is already stumbling around. I haven’t even had one drink. Half-hour in, and Frank’s looking kinda tipsy. “You okay?” “What? Yeah, I’m fine.” he says as he almost trips over nothing. “No, you’re not. You almost fell.” “No, it was an optical illusion. Why don’t you have a drink?” “If I have one will you stop?” “Yeah.” “You swear?” “Yeah, I’ll stop drinking if you have one.” I grabbed the first thing I saw, and it happened to be a very strong drink, which was not the best choice. I’ve never had a drink in my life, since my father acts the way he does, and I didn’t react well. Pretty soon I was a little drunk. I was tripping over nothing. I fell into Frank and we both started laughing. This can’t end good.
