Okay well I'm just going to let you all 'try' and understand the story...it's complicated...=/...but I'm sure most of you will catch on..so here's chapter one.
Em's P.O.V.
I laid there in the tub not really caring if I drowned or not. My mom walked in at that time. She was one of those so called high class wannabes. I hated her and my dad.
"Come on E- Em? You need to get ready for the party downstairs everyone is here." She picked up my dirty clothes and stared at me. I just continued to stare at the ceiling ignoring her.
"Em!" She yelled. In my response I sunk underwater hoping that I wouldn't have to breath anymore.
"Gerard is here." She stated and left the room. She knew that would get me out of the water. I got up slowly and dried myself off. I walked into my room with barely a towel to cover my small frame. I put a bra on and underwear. I slipped a Smashing Pumpkins shirt on and Black Jeans. I carefully applied eyeliner around my eyes to get the shadowed look and walked downstairs.
"Sweetheart,thats not exactly the way I wanted you to dress.." My mother frowned. I sneered at her and made my way over to Gerard. He was my best friend..hell my only friend. He was kind and he understood me,I liked him but I wouldn't tell anyone,no I wouldn't dare too,but I knew Emma would...oh how I loathed her.
"Hey,er...nice party." He stated as he looked from me to my mom,who was frowning at me.
"If you say so" I shrugged. I wasn't very talkative.
"Hey Em!" I heard Franks annoying shriek from across the room.
"You brought him here?" I scowled at Gerard.
"No,He was asked to come by your Mom. You know how your Mom likes him better than me." He shook his head. He was right my mom thought Gerard was dangerous. She loved Frank and thought he was an angel.
" She just asked you to come so I would appear and prove to these leaches that she and Father actually have an heir." I hissed under my breath as Frank pushed his way over. Gerard nodded and sighed. I looked at the mirror and noticed I didn't brush my hair. I had made a compromise with Emma to dye it black,She didn't like the idea but agreed to it because it wasn't extreme. I looked over at Gerard who smiled at me.
"I don't want to be like this anymore,I want to be normal" I whispered to him. I saw the look of sadness and sincerity in his eyes. Emma was mean to Gerard and hated his guts because he wasn't like her 'type',but Frank on the other hand was. Emma was friends with Mikey,Gerard's little brother and was also friends with Ray and Bob. I didn't really know them enough to call them friends.
"Em..you've been avoiding my calls" Frank frowned as he caught up to me.
" Emma hasn't been able to talk for awhile" I stated. It was true, I havn't....er..'changed' in a while.I've been Em for about three weeks now. Everyone but my parents liked Em better. The Doctors said by the time I'm eighteen I should be normal and never have another personality change ever again. I'm only sixteen.
"Oh...well,tell her hi for me" Frank smiled.
"Dude,Frank She isn't someone who is a answering machine. You know she hasn't been Emma in almost a month! So quit trying to get into her pants already,god damn." Gerard yelled,causing all the party guests and my parents to look over in our way.
"Young man,do not use gods name in vain!" Some old bag yelled at Gerard.
"Well,my response Fuck God and his damn angels I hope they fall out of orbit!" I blew a fuse.
Gerard quickly placed his hand over my mouth and pulled me upstairs.
"You have never done that before Em." Gerard laughed. " That old Lady's face was so fucking priceless" He continued to laugh.
"I didn't mean too,I just didn't want you to get kicked out of the party." I frowned,not seeing the hilarity in this matter.
"Sorry Em." He smiled one of his genuine ones.
I shrugged letting what just happened slide.My mother stormed up the stairs.
"How dare you Em!Do you know who that was!" She yelled in a hurried whisper.I just stared at her blankly.
"That was the Governor's Wife!Now go downstairs and apologize,both of you!" she yelled a little louder.
I turned on my heel and walked into my room with Gerard following.He closed the door.I could hear my mom cursing and stomping down the stairs.A few minutes later I heard talk in what I might add not an inside voice,Saying shes sorry for having such a rude daughter and ignorant friend.
I snorted."bitch" Gerard mumbled as he turned to look at me.
"So what are we going to do since we are officially kicked out that drone party downstairs?" Gerard asked me while he sat on my bed.
"Escape? nah,my mom would have the cops on us in no time and not to mention what if Emma comes back?She'd surely get you locked up" I frowned.
"Don't say that,okay?Emma isn't going to be the one thats full time you.it's going to be Em.Em,got it?Your going to wake up tomorrow and realize it's Em again and for next two years its going to be Em." Gerard said in barely a whisper.I wanted to agree with him,but I knew I couldn't change myself even if I wanted to.I didn't answer him,I just sat there on the floor avoiding his gaze.
"Em? Lets go to my house okay? You can spend the night if you want to" He asked while lifting my chin to look at him. I nodded.
"I'll go and give my mom a note saying where I'll be at" I sighed,got off the floor,wrote the note and walked to parents room and taped the note to their door.
"Ready?" he asked,I nodded. Even though I secretly wished that tomorrow I would be Em. As we headed downstairs and slipped passed Frank and all the other guests we ran out through the back door and headed to Gerard's house.
