What’s the story is about Rosa is the main character, when she was 14 her dad was murdered. Rosa has never forgotten that day. Now, almost two years after that day, somebody is murdering people Rosa knows. The person starts off slow, only killing the people Rosa met once or twice. But then the person starts attacking people very close to Rosa. Can Rosa find out who it is before he/she kills everyone Rosa loves?
Prologue Her feet pounded on the empty dark street. Her legs hurt, her heart was beating so fast in her chest, she was sure it would burst. She could hardly breathe, but she didn't stop running, for if a she did, the man chasing her, would kill her. A few yards ahead, she saw a house. If she could just make it there, she could get help. She quicken her pace as much as her legs would allow her. But, as her bare feet touched the cold, wet grass an arm pulled her back. She tried to scream, but the other hand covered her mouth. She tired to fight back, but the man was too strong. He pulled out a knife and held it in front of her face. The girl felt tears rolling down her face. The man pulled her into a nearby forest. Once they were in the forest, he plugged the knife into the girl. The girl gasped in pain. He slowly took the knife out. And a second later, he plugged the knife into her again, only this time, he plugged it into her heart. The girl took one last breath before she die. The man looked at the house the girl had be running to earlier, and whispered, “It’s not your time yet.” And he walked away from the body, never looking back.

Chapter One Rosa looking at the door. “Yeah,” she called out. “Rosa, if you don’t mind, can’t you please don’t turn the music. I can hear it all the way from my room,” Rosa heard her mom say. “Sure,” Rosa said as she got up to turn down her music. “Thanks,” Elle, Rosa’s mom, said. Rosa lay back on her bed on her back. It was almost that time again. ‘I can’t believe it’s be almost two years,’ she thought as tears come to her eyes. Well it rains and it pours When you're out on your own If I crash on the couch Can I sleep in my clothes? 'Cause I've spent the night dancing I'm drunk, I suppose If it looks like I'm laughing I'm really just asking to leave Rosa looking over at her X-box, where the music was coming from. She smiled. ‘I just have to hold on,’ she thought as the song went on. There's a place in the dark where the animals go You can take off your skin in the cannibal glow Juliet loves the beat and the lust it commands Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands, Romeo I've really been on a bender and it shows So why don't you blow me a kiss before she goes? Rosa closed her eyes. What would she do without Hedley and My Chemical Romance, her favourite bands in the whole world. That and her family and friends. Some say love is not for sinners I believe that isn't true 'Cause when I was finished sinning Love came down and showed me you And you told me how to get there So I tried to find a way Then I ran into your garden But I tripped out the gate I tripped out the gate Rosa opened her eyes, got up and turned off the light and went to bed.
The next morning, Rosa got up early. She went downstairs and went into the kitchen. All night she been tossing and turning. She sat down on at the kitchen table and put her head down. ‘It’s one day closer,’ she thought. She closed her eyes to keep the tears from coming……
“Rosa, Rosa,” she heard someone say. “Rosa.” She opened her eyes and saw her mom. “You fell asleep,” Elle said. “Oh,” Rosa said. “What time is it?” “Almost eight,” Elle answered. “I have to go now, or I’ll be later for work…….again.” “Bye,” Rosa called after her mom, as Elle run out the door. Rosa get up and went to the fridge and opened it. ‘What to make? What to make,’ she thought. “It’s a good thing it’s Saturday today,” she whispered. ‘I don’t have to make breakfast for everybody.” By everybody, she meant her 10 younger sisters. Yes, ten. Her ten younger sisters are all the same age. They were born on August 17th. There’s Lizzie, Cassie, Dannie, Maddie, Anggie, Tiffie, Jennie, Kimmie, Sammie and Pennie. Rosa was five when they were born. Finding nothing, Rosa went back upstairs and went into her room and sat on her bed. She closed her eyes, but opened them quickly, for when she closed her eyes, she thought she saw THE face. But why did it surprise her? She had been seeing that face for a while now. Still, it was scary. Rosa got up and went to her bedroom window. She looked out towards the forest across the street. Something looked…….felt different about it. But, what. Rosa stared and stared, trying to find what it was. She stared at the forest for about ten minutes before going back to bed. About two hours later, Rosa was starting to wake up when she heard her cell phone going off. She went to go pick it up. “Hello,” She said into the phone. “Hey, Rose,” Rosa heard her best friend say. “Hey, Jess,” she said, going to lie on her bed. “What are you doing?” “Talking to you,” Jessie answered with a laugh. “Haha, very funny,” Rosa said, trying not to laugh. “Kay, why did you phone?” “Just to talk,” Jessie answered. “So, what’s up?” “Nothing new,” Rosa said not wanting to tell Jessie about the forest. “How about you?” “Well, Ashie is crying……..again. So, I come into my room and phoned you.” “Oh, so that’s why you phoned,” Rosa teased. “So, what is she crying at now?” “How am I suppose to know?” “Ha. So, she’s not telling you.” “Like always.” “Hey, Jess, why do you come over?” “Kay. I’ll just go ask my mom.” Rosa heard the phone being put down. Then she heard yelling. Then Jessie was back on the phone. “I can’t right now. But later.” “When later?” “Like at 2:00.” “Oh. Well, I guess I’ll see you then.” “Yeah. See you at two.” “Kay. Bye, Jess.” “Bye,” Jessie said before hanging up the phone. Rosa put her phone down and went into the hall. She could hear yelling coming from a room just down the hall. Rosa walked over to the room and looked in. She could see two of her sisters fighting. “Hey, hey,” Rosa yelled as she walked in the room. “What are you two fight about.” The girls pulled away from each other and Rosa could see it was Lizzie and Kimmie who were fighting. They pointed at each other and said, “She started it.” Rosa signed. ‘So, what’s new Jess?’ she thought. She looked at her other sisters who had been watching the fight. “First, why didn’t one of you came and got me? Second, what were they fighting about?” No one answered. “Let’s not all answer at once,” Rosa said. She turned to Lizzie. “You, talk.” “Well, I was just saying how Jacob was the best singer around-“ “Which he’s not,” Kimmie interrupted. “Gerard is.” Lizzie went to attack Kimmie, but Rosa pull Lizzie away form Kimmie. “You two were fighting over that? That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life. They’re both good,” Rosa shouted, as she looked first at Kimmie then Lizzie. They heard giggling coming from the side of the room where the rest of the sisters were. Rosa looked at them. “Don’t start. You’re no better then they are. Not one of you came to get me when is started.” As quickly as the giggling started, it stopped. Rosa looked back at Lizzie and Kimmie. “No more fighting or you’ll be spending the rest of the day in your room.” Rosa looked around. “Or somewhere where it isn’t fun, like in Mom’s room. Got it?” Lizzie and Kimmie nodded. “And that goes for the rest of you too,” Rosa said before she walked out of the room.

Chapter two At two, Rosa heard a knock at the door. Rosa went over and opened the door. Jessie stood there. Her long sunny blonde hair was done back in a ponytail. Her sky blue eyes were hidden behind a big black pair of sunglasses. “Hey Jess,” Rosa said, moving aside so Jessie could come into the house. Jessie took off her sunglasses. “Hey Rosa.” Looking ah her friend, Rosa felt plain. Rosa was still in her P.Js, but even if she was dress, it would only be gray sweats pants with either a plain black or white top, and her hair was always down. But Jessie on the other hand was wearing long black pant that were in fashion, with a cute pink top, and Jessie’s hair was always done up. Rosa and Jessie went to the living room and sat on the couch. “So, how long are you allow to stay,” Rosa asked. “A few hours,” Jessie answered. “My mom will come and get me. We’re going out for dinner tonight.” “Oh. Why?” “Don’t know. Mom didn’t say.” Rosa didn’t know what to say next. Jessie and her family were always going out for dinner, and although Rosa loved her family with all her heart, sometimes she wished she had a family like Jessie’s. Never having to worry about money problems, always getting what you want. Rosa could deal with that. “So, what are your sisters up to?” Jessie asked. Rosa had to think about what Jessie said for a minute. “Oh, you mean besides fighting?” Jessie looked at Rosa, and they both smiled. “So, what were they fighting about this time?” Jessie asked “It was Lizzie and Kimmie. They were fight about rather Jacob Hoggard or Gerard Way is the better singer. Lizzie said Jacob, Kimmie said Gerard.” “Well, I have to agree with Kimmie on this one,” Jessie said. Rosa snapped her head towards Jessie. “Jess, their both good singers. They both have their own sound.” “Yeah, but Gerard’s still better.” Rosa stared at Jessie in disbelieve. “I can’t believe you can compare Jacob and Gerard. They both have their own sound. Both are wonderful singers. And why are we fighting over something so dumb?” “Maybe because it isn’t dumb,” Jessie said as she got up from the couch. “Where are you going? You just got here?” Rosa asked, standing up too. “Until you can see I’m right about this, I’m going home,” Jessie said as she walked towards the door. “Jessie,” Rosa said as she followed Jessie. “This is the dumbest thing to fight about.” Jessie stopped walking and turned towards Rosa. “Is it really?” And with those final words, she opened the door and walked away. Rosa stared after her still in disbelieve. She closed the door and went back into the living room. She sat on the couch and started to think. ‘Did that really happen?’ she thought. ‘No, it didn’t happen. I mean Jess usually agrees with me on these things. It must just be a bad day for her.’ Rosa sat there for a few more minutes before getting up and going into the kitchen. She looked out the window that pointed to the forest. She was sure something was different with it. Without a second thought, Rosa went to the front door and walk out. She ran across the street to the forest. She picked her way though. She only walked a few steps before she tripped over something. Rosa looked back and screamed. There laid a girl no older then Rosa. Her skin was pale and cold to the touch. Her long brown hair was dirty and sticking to her face. Rosa just stared. She wanted to move, but couldn’t. Her eyes were focused on the died body that laid before her. ‘How long has she been laying here,’ Rosa thought as she finally felt her legs start to work. She got up and walked away. She cross the street and went back into her house. She climbed the stairs and went into her room. She found her phone and dialed 9-1-1. “This is 9-1-1. What is your emergency?” a voice said. “I-I…………I went outside and…………I find……….a bo- a girl. I think she’s dead,” Rosa said. “I’ll send someone over went away,” the voice said. “O.K,” Rosa said, then she hanged up the phone. She went over to her bed and laid down on her back. She closed her eyes, but when she did she saw the face again. Her eyes popped opened. ‘Wait a minute, she looks familiar.’ She closed her eyes again. ‘Yes, I seen her somewhere before-‘ There was a knock at the door, and Rosa jump up and ran down the stairs to answer it. Two cops stood there. “You phoned in an emergency,” the male cops said. Rosa nodded and pointed to the forest. “She’s over there. Just walk in and you’ll find her.” The cops nodded, and the male cop went to the forest. The female cop started to ask Rosa questions, and she tired to answer them as best she could. Other people come and took the people away. There were people in the forest looking over the crime sense. When the cop asked if Rosa knew the girl, Rosa said, “I think so.” The cop looked at Rosa. “You thought so?” “Yeah. I think I meet her once. She looks familiar, but I can’t place her.” The cop nodded. “Kay, that will be all for now,” she said as she got up from her seat. Rosa followed her to the door and watched her go. ‘It can’t be happening again,’ she thought as she closed the door. ‘Or can it?’

Chapter three Rosa was sitting in the living room when her mom came home. Rosa had gone around the house locking all doors and windows. She told her sisters about what happened, and they promised to keep the windows locked. Rosa only let the front door open, and she sat down in the living watching T.V or reading with a baseball bat beside her. She had told her sisters to stay upstairs and to only come down when she said so. As soon as Elle had walk in the door, Rosa was locking it. “Whoa, it’s O.K. We can leave it unlock,” Elle said. “No, we can’t,” Rosa said. She turned towards Elle and started to tell her the whole story. “And the girl looks familiar, but I can’t place her,” Rosa finished. Elle nodded. “So, I’m going to take it you didn’t have the best day.” “It could have been better,” Rosa said. “So, did anything good happen?” Rosa looked up at her mom. “Mom, I had a fight with Jess. I found a body in the forest. Lizzie and Kimmie were……..or still are fighting. There was no good for me today.” Elle laugh. “I see.” Rosa rolled her eyes. “Sure,” she said before going upstairs. She went into her room and went to bed.
At 11:00, Rosa was still in bed. She was staring up at the ceiling. She was still thinking about yesterday. ‘I seen that girl before. But where. I know her.’ Rosa looked over to her window. ‘Wasn’t it just a few days ago that everything as O.K………….or kinda O.K’ Rosa got up and looked out her window. Rosa was still staring at the forest five minutes later when she heard her mom called her down for breakfast. “Morning, sleepy head,” her mom said as she put plants on the table. “Sleep O.K?” Rosa sat down on a chair. “It could have been better.” “That bad,” Elle said as she sat down beside Rosa. “Yeah…….” Rosa said. “Hey, were are the ten trouble makers?” “Out. They woke up earl had breakfast and went out,” Elle said. “So, it’s just you and me.” “How…..great,” Rosa said. She looked at breakfast. Pancakes, eyes, toast and milk. She looked at her mom. “What,” Elle said, picking up a pancake. It’s all we had.” “Oh, no. It’s not that,” Rosa said. “It’s just……..dad used to make this for my birthday ever since I was two.” Elle looked up from her plate to look at Rosa. “Oh, Rose, I forget.” She put her fork down. “I can make something else if you like.” “Oh, no. It’s O.K. I’m not very hungry.” Rosa got up. “I’m going outside.” “O.K,” Elle said, seeing Rosa walking away. “Just be careful,” she yelled after Rosa. Rosa sat on the front steps and looked across the street to the forest. ‘You know that girl. But who this is,” it had been bugging Rosa since yesterday. She ran though all the people she knew or meet. But none looked like the girl. Long brown hair, brown eyes……….BROWN EYES, Those brown eyes. Rosa got up and went inside and run upstairs. Rosa took out a book of pictures. She flipped to the third page and looked for the picture. There it was. Rosa met the girl in the Rosa boyfriend and the girl’s dad was in the hospital. They never became best friends. But they did became good friends. The girl’s name was Faith. And she had long brown hair. And brown eyes that no one had. The picture was simple, but priceless. Rosa and Faith were standing in front of a hospital window. They were smiling. Rosa was wearing black jeans and a black top and her hair was down. Faith was wearing wearing blue sweats and a white top with a picture of a cat on it. Faith’s long brown hair was in pink tails. Their arms were around each other Rosa pt the picture down and sat on her bed. ‘Now what? You know who the girl is, but will that were help?’ She got up and looked out the window. ‘Well, does Faith’s dad know?” Rosa turned to her desk where her cell phone was. She went over and picked it up. She stared at her phone. ‘What was the number again?’ She put her phone down. ‘Maybe it’ll be better if I go over there.’ But Rosa was only there once, could she remember where Faith’s house was? ‘Well, I’m going to have to try,’ she decided, as she took off her P.J and put clothes on. She run downstairs and out the door. She walked down the sidewalk. She tried to remember how to get to Faith’s house. At the corner, she stopped and looked around. Straight, left, right. What way did she go? Something told her to go left, so she turned left. She started to remember the way to Faith’s house. A few minutes later she was at Faith’s house. It was a small white house with two small bedrooms. It may be small, but it was cozy and friendly. But something didn’t belong. And that was the coroners. Oh no. Rosa started to run. “What happened,” Rosa asked. One of the coroners looked at her. “He learned about his daughter and he had a heart attract. Poor guy.” “Who told him,” Rosa asked. “His friend,” the guy said pointing towards the front door of the house. Rosa looked and almost felt like dieing herself. There stood the guy that killed her dad. Only Rosa knew what he looked like. She saw him before he run away to get away from the cops that were coming. The guy smiled at her, waved then walked away. Rosa watched him go. She now knew who killed Faith. And now Rosa know she had to get this guy in jail…….or better yet, die.
