idk, i decided on paragraphs. IDK!
Upon going back inside, she realized her father was standing right there. He didn’t look happy. “Oh, hi. I didn’t know you were home.” This wasn’t good at all. He was pissed. “Who was that?” Emily bit her lip, looking at the ground. “My friend.” “It didn’t seem that way to me. Do you kiss all of your friends like that?” She knew what was coming next. It didn’t happen too often, but it was going to now. “No.” She started to back away from the man, knowing it was no use. “Then why lie to me like that? You know what happens to liars.” Emily rarely lied to her father, but he used the same line for everything. The back of his left hand collided with her cheek, sending her stumbling backwards. It stung, but she tried not to let it show.
After the third time though, it showed. Tears streamed down her face, and enough noise had been made for Aiden to come rushing down the stairs. “What the…” And he realized what was going on. “Dad! What the fuck are you doing? She didn’t do anything!” He ripped the man off of her, helping her up and shielding her from him. “She’s a lying whore, that’s what she is! She fucked that boy that was here!” He knew that was a lie. He obviously would have heard that. “No she didn’t! I would have heard that, and you would have too. What’s your problem?”
An answer wasn’t expected, because Aiden started to go back upstairs, bringing his sister with him. He most definitely wasn’t going to leave her with him. Besides, he wanted to talk to her about Sonny. Something was up, that much he could tell. First thing was taking care of her though. Once in his room, he cleaned up the cut on her face. It wasn’t too big, but it was better to take care of it. “There. Now, what’s going on with you and Sonny? I know there‘s something.” Aiden knew he had to change the subject. It would make things a lot less tense. And he most definitely knew something was up because Emily blushed. She looked up at him before she answered, smiling shyly. “Well, I do like him. A lot. And I think he likes me.” That made him laugh. “Of course he likes you. I’m sure he wouldn’t have kissed you like that if it was just lust.” Being a ladies man, Aiden knew when someone was kissing someone because they liked them or because they just wanted some. If Sonny had just wanted to get in her pants, he would have tried to go much farther than that. “Yeah, you saw that. He kissed me again before. When he left.” Aid smiled sincerely at his sister. “I told you, he likes you. He’ll ask you out, just wait. Within the next week, I bet.” Emily didn’t believe it, but a small part of her actually did. She didn’t know why her thoughts were mixed. Either way, she knew she liked him a lot. “I don’t think so, but whatever.”
A door slammed, and the siblings looked towards the door, though they wouldn’t see anything. Then a car started. Their father was leaving the house. The girl was very much relieved. She wasn’t afraid to go in her room alone now. “I’m gonna go in my room.” “Don’t tell me. You’re gonna call him, aren’t you?” The grin on Emily’s face answered that, and he laughed. “Eh, get out of here. Go call him.” She giggled as she walked out of his room and down the hall. It wasn’t a very long walk to her room, which was here she sat on her bed and scrolled through her contacts list. When Sonny’s name was highlighted, she smiled. Oh, just seeing his name made her go crazy. Yeah, she was falling fast.
She pushed the call button, pressing the phone to her ear. Each ring made her heart beat faster and faster. Until they stopped. “I was beginning to think you weren’t gonna call.” He must have known it was her since it was a number he didn’t have in his phone. “Well, I did. Are you happy?” she teased him, giggling to herself slightly. “More than you’d think.” Again with the making her blush! He knew just what to say. “Well, good. What have you been up to?” It was like she had never been shy around him before. “Nothing really, just hanging out. I’m so bored now. What about you?” “Ah, the same, really.” And their conversation went on, again moving to things like dinosaurs and piercings. They talked for a good hour or so. By then, it was 7:00, and they both had things they had to do. So, they said goodbye and promised to see each other, like before. Emily couldn’t wait to go to bed that night, because she wanted to see him the next day.
